Milan’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic was injured in the 2-1 victory on Sunday evening at the AS Rom. A day later the diagnosis followed, the Swede has to suspend four games.
In the 56th minute Ibrahimovic was replaced by Rafael Leao on Sunday night and saw the rest of the game, the 2-1 Milans in Rome, from the bench. The left thigh of the Swede was immediately bandaged.
A day later, Ibrahimovic was diagnosed with a muscle injury in the left thigh and will be out for the next four games. In addition to his league appearances against Udinese, Hellas Verona and Naples, he also misses the quarter-finals in the Europa League at his former club Manchester United.
In ten days, the attacker will be re-examined and the situation reassessed. If it looks any better, he’ll start his rehab program.
Ibrahimovic has once again proven his top class this season. In 14 games he scored 14 times for the current second-place Serie A. Milan is currently four points behind city rivals Inter.
