The newspaper “Telegraph” reported, citing British government circles, that plans to this effect are already on the way. According to the report, the government is expected to publish a plan on Tuesday that envisages a return to professional sports next month. The prerequisites for this are strict safety precautions and that the number of people infected with corona does not rise again.
Already next week the clubs could start training. On Monday, the Premier League clubs wanted to discuss the next steps in a video conference. It is expected that a vote will also be held on how to deal with player contracts that expire on 30 June – and thus before the late end of the football season. FIFA had recommended that the contracts be extended to cover the remaining matches.
