Kovac: “A legitimate question, but nothing changes”

The AS Monaco continues to run almost perfectly. Coach Niko Kovac stepped on the brakes after another coup against PSG.

Win twice in a season against Paris-Saint Germain, you have to do that first. Because no one has for a long time. More precisely, not since 2011/12, since PSG had not collected a single counter against AS Nancy.

Now, nine years later, Monaco has repeated the trick and after 3-2 in the first leg also won the second leg in the capital with 2-0. On Sunday evening, the team of coach Niko Kovac climbed up to two meters to the series champion and has been unbeaten for two months.

Although the gap with leader Lille is only six points and PSG is obviously vulnerable for the first time in a long time, Niko Kovac does not want to put the word “championship” in his mouth. “No, nothing changes,” said the former Frankfurt and Bavarian coaches, “even if it is a legitimate question.”
