Arjen Robben was active as a professional footballer for 18 years and had a real world career between 2001 and 2019. Especially during his years with FC Chelsea, Real Madrid and of course FC Bayern Munich, the left-footer developed into a superstar and at times perhaps the best right-winger in the world. No wonder that the Dutchman, who ended his active football career last summer at the age of 35, is always driven by comeback aspirations.
Robben recently told “FC Bayern Podcast” how he has fared since he left the big stage in May last year: “At first I didn’t miss football at all. But then there was a phase when it tickled again and thoughts came up like: ‘Hey, maybe I’d like to play a bit again after all.'”
