Former FC Bayern Munich coach Carlo Ancelotti commented wittily on the red card he received for his FC Everton’s 1-1 win over England’s record-breaking football champions Manchester United on Sunday.
“It wasn’t the first time and it will be the last,” said the Liverpool team manager.
The Italian soccer teacher had had intensive discussions with the referee about a goal not given by Dominic Calvert-Lewin. “I was not disrespectful,” Ancelotti stressed, “something like that can happen at the end of a game, I was a little nervous. Maybe the referee too, we exchanged friendly words. No problem at all.”
